CES EDVENTURE
Good afternoon parents,
The youth of the Stafford Stake have a wonderful opportunity coming up to learn about the Church Educational System. Representatives from BYU, BYU-Idaho, and the Seminary & Institute Program will be visiting in person to facilitate activities on Thursday April 23 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stake Center. This CES EdVenture Activity is for all youth 11-18, their parents, and youth leaders. Below is a brief overview of what to expect that evening.
Younger youth (11-13) will be placed into small teams. They will work together in an activity called 'Seminary Quest: Find Your Seat in Seminary.' In this activity, they will learn the great things our Heavenly Father has in store for them as they continue to learn and grow by studying the gospel of Jesus Christ and how attending seminary will help in that journey.
Older youth (14-18) will be competing as teams in a game-show style College Cup designed around the student life, academic programs, and spiritual and educational opportunities available at BYU and BYU-Idaho. They will gain a better understanding of how these two institutions are uniquely positioned to help prepare them for their future careers while living and learning in a Christ-centered environment.
Parents and leaders are encouraged to attend a Q&A Session. They will be able to ask questions related to BYU and BYU-Idaho as they seek to help their youth understand the opportunities and support available at these institutions.
Please refer to the attached flyer for details and to sign up for the event. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kathryn Pendleton (kathrynpendleton@gmail.com) or Nolan Adams (nolanfloyde@gmail.com).
